What is PBDN?

Purple Day by Night is an annual gala in support of the Epilepsy Association of Calgary. Funds raised at this event play a crucial role in facilitating programs and support for the 30,000 individuals living with epilepsy in Southern Alberta.

What is the difference between a VIP and a Main Event Ticket?

A Main Event Ticket ($150) includes live entertainment, delectable bites, a welcome drink, mix & mingle with artists as they create their masterpieces on site, incredible raffle prizes, silent and live auction items

Your VIP ticket ($250) includes everything in the Main Event Ticket PLUS a meet & Greet with our guest Co-Chairs, Cassidy Megan and Kelly Hrudy, a private VIP concert with Alex Hughes, a complimentary purple accessory to enhance your outfit to our theme, 2 drink tickets, and exclusive access to the VIP Royal Lounge

PLEASE NOTE: This is a ticketless event, please check in upon arrival at the registration tables. A confirmation email with more details will be sent out prior to the event.

Can I bring my kids?
This event is for adults only. No minors under 18 will be permitted in the building. Please plan accordingly.
What can I expect at the Gala?
Expect a night of luxury and elegance as you enter the beautiful venue and are greeted by our community volunteers. You’ll indulge in gourmet bites by the Borough Bar & Grill, creative local libations, live entertainment at our centre stage, a silent auction full of incredible items, an exciting live auction to get your adrenalin going, unique raffle prizes, and other opportunities to win amazing prizes and giveaways!
What is the dress code?

This is a formal cocktail party! We are looking forward to seeing you dressed up and encourage you to add a touch of purple to match the theme!

Are tickets refundable or transferable?

Admission is non-refundable but is transferable. Contact [email protected] for assistance in transferring admission

Can I get a tax receipt for my ticket purchase?
Tickets are not eligible for tax receipts, however if you include any “fund a need” additions in your ticket purchase, you will receive a tax receipt for that portion of your ticket purchase.
Is there a deadline to buy tickets?
There is no deadline to purchase tickets, only a maximum capacity of 450 guests. We will close ticket sales at that point. We recommend securing your tickets early, so you don’t miss out!
Can I buy tickets at the door?
Tickets can be purchased at the door, but we recommend securing yours early to ensure we don’t sell out! Please note: Cash will NOT be accepted on site.
How can my company sponsor this event?

We have many opportunities to support the Purple Day by Night Gala. You can sponsor our Main Stage, VIP Royal Lounge, a welcome drink, photo booth, and many other activations of this event! Can I participate in the silent auction if I’m not there in person?
You sure can! Our silent auction will be live online in mid-March so stay tuned to our social media accounts and email newsletters for more information and the link! We have over 50 incredible and unique auction items for you to bid on! Good luck!
I’m not able to attend but would like to make a donation. How can I do that?

While we are disappointed that you can’t make it, we are truly grateful for any donations made in lieu of your attendance. Will cash be accepted at the event?
This event is cashless. We can accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Debit.
Where is Contemporary Calgary?

Contemporary Calgary is located in the west end of downtown Calgary. It used to be the old Planetarium!

Where do I park?
There is on-site visitor parking at Calgary Parking Authority Lot 61 (Zone 9061).
Is the venue accessible for those with mobility needs?
Contemporary Calgary is a wheelchair-accessible venue with designated accessibility parking and washrooms. Wheelchairs are also available on site.
Who can I bring if I win the presale VIP Limo package?
All guests attending the gala must have a ticket to enter. You may choose whomever you like to join you in the limo up to 8 guests in total, as long as there are no minors, and each guest has a ticket to the event. Pick up will be arranged upon booking. This is a one-way ticket, please make arrangements to get home afterwards.
